Delorme named defensive player of the month

Goaltender Ryan Delorme of the Norman Northstars was named the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League's Super 8 Motel defensive player of the month for October after appearing in 11 games.

Delorme, 17, faced an average of more than 35 shots per game in October, compiling a record of five wins and six losses, with three of the victories coming in one-goal games, including two wins in overtime. He also earned his first shutout of the season in October.

Delorme, 6'3", is from The Pas. He is in his second year with the Norman Northstars.
