Ryan pots one in Titans' loss to North Winnipeg

Jordan Ryan of Thompson had one goal and an assist Oct. 13 as his Sanford Titans dropped a 4-3 decision to the North Winnipeg Satelites in the Keystone Junior Hockey League's regular season opener at Mosienko Arena in Winnipeg.

Ryan opened the scoring five minutes into the first period to put the Titans ahead and Matt Braccio scored on a power play later in the period to extend the lead to two goals.

North Winnipeg got one back late in the second period, then erupted for three unanswered goals to go up 4-2 in the third period. Kelly Randall of Sanford scored, assisted by Ryan and Braccio, with 19 seconds left to make it a one-goal game but it was too little, too late as the Titans ran out of time before getting the equalizer.

Ryan Leclaire stopped 28 of 31 shots in the Satelites' net for the win, while Jeff Rozmus made 40 saves in a losing cause, including 17 in the first period alone.

The Titans were 1-for-10 on the power play while North Winnipeg was scoreless in seven man advantages.
